de gran bellesa, amb dos passadissos coberts per un sostre de cany\u00eds i teula, suportat per columnes de ma\u00f3 i amb terres empedrats; al centre es poden veure les dues basses, amb piques de pedra i grans rajoles. La fa\u00e7ana del safareig t\u00e9 tres \u201cfinestres\u201d d\u2019arc de mig punt i les portes d\u2019acc\u00e9s es troben a banda i banda de l\u2019edifici, darrere les dues finestres dels extrems. La font en s\u00ed no \u00e9s visible ja que est\u00e0 coberta i canalitzada cap a les basses dels rentadors. Aquest espai va estar en \u00fas fins els anys 70.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div><div class=\"et_d4_element et_pb_column_2_3 et_pb_column et_pb_column_7  et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode troben les restes d\u2019un antic cam\u00ed empedrat d\u2019\u00e8poca incerta, encara que se\u2019l coneix com el \u201c<strong>cam\u00ed rom\u00e0<\/strong>\u201d o \u201ccam\u00ed de les terme<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Els mapes ens donen la topon\u00edmia de fonts i basses del terme del Molar: Font Boja (al l\u00edmit amb el terme del Lloar), Font del Baster, Font del Mas Abell\u00f3, Font d\u2019en M\u00edquei i Font del Perxet (vora el riu Siurana), Font de Pinyol, Font de Noller o Bassa del Mas del Severino. Una mem\u00f2ria en la paraula, aquests punts d\u2019aigua, elements clau per a una terra atape\u00efda de bancals (molts perduts enmig de bosc), rebien el nom de les partides on es trobaven, dibuixant el mapa d\u2019una riquesa que, en el seu moment, valia m\u00e9s que l\u2019or. Era, justament, l\u2019aigua el que li proporcionava la riquesa, per\u00f2 s\u2019acab\u00e0 cedint aquesta part de la finca al poble del Molar (tot i que el propietari es quedava amb una s\u00e8rie de drets sobre l\u2019\u00fas de l\u2019aigua). L\u2019actual construcci\u00f3 seria d\u2019inicis del segle XIX -abans de la Guerra del Franc\u00e8s-. Aquests rentadors p\u00fablics estaven for\u00e7a apartats del poble per\u00f2 en diverses cases de la poblaci\u00f3 hi havia petits rentadors privats i, al Carrer Falset, un cop va arribar l\u2019aigua al poble, se\u2019n van fer uns de p\u00fablics.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div><div id=\"cronologia\" class=\"et_pb_module et_d4_element et_pb_toggle et_pb_toggle_0 cronologia et_pb_toggle_item et_pb_section_video_on_hover  et_pb_toggle_close\">\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\">Seguir llegint<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content clearfix\"><p>Anteriorment a la font, la gent del Molar s\u2019abastia d\u2019una bassa d\u2019aigua de pluja, que es trobava a la partida amb el nom -<strong>Bassa del Molar<\/strong>-, aix\u00ed com de les diverses fonts escampades pel terme. Encara resta la topon\u00edmia com a testimoni d\u2019aquestes \u00e8poques passades i de la configuraci\u00f3 del territori, com els terrenys de les Hortes Velles del Molar, que es bastien de l\u2019aigua del barranc del Rec de Bas. Aqu\u00ed veiem la gran import\u00e0ncia de fixar-nos en les nomenclatures de llocs i partides, com en el cas d\u2019una de les altres fonts del terme, la <strong>Font Boja<\/strong>, que apareix en moments d\u2019abundants pluges, com per art de m\u00e0gia, i desapareix posteriorment com una font fantasma.<\/p>\n<p>Fonts i safareigs han estat, durant segles, els espais de trobada de la gent de cada poble, indrets socials, llocs protegits i apreciats, font de pol\u00e8miques i baralles; era un dret com\u00fa i un deure compartit assegurar la seva perviv\u00e8ncia per al b\u00e9 de tothom. El temps ha canviat en gran mesura la nostra relaci\u00f3 amb l\u2019aigua, ara ens arriba directament a les cases, per\u00f2 fins al segle passat aquests llocs eren indrets curulls de vida.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div><div class=\"et_pb_module et_d4_element dnxte_masonary dnxte_masonary_0\">\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<div Molar<\/h2><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div><div class=\"et_pb_module et_d4_element et_pb_text et_pb_text_4  et_pb_text_align_left et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><p>Malgrat que durant la protohist\u00f2ria el territori del Molar havia estat un indret ocupat, un espai industrial de gran import\u00e0ncia i un centre de comer\u00e7 destacat dins el \u201cPriorat\u201d (vegeu el jaciment de -El Calvari-); les \u00e8poques daurades no duren per sempre, el temps passa, els habitants abandonen l\u2019antic poble i l\u2019Ebre es converteix en el nou protagonista d\u2019aquest comer\u00e7 (i s\u00ed, tot all\u00f2 que s\u2019extreu de les mines sembla que marxa riu avall, el primer anunci del que ser\u00e0 un per\u00edode de \u201cpobresa\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>D\u2019aquest moment de l\u2019Edat Antiga nom\u00e9s en conservem una petita finestra en penombra, les poques <strong>restes d\u2019\u00e8poca romana<\/strong> que s\u2019han trobat a la zona dels rentadors del poble.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div><div class=\"et_pb_module et_d4_element et_pb_image El mateix <strong>Salvador Vilaseca<\/strong> (als anys 30) va trobar materials, com cer\u00e0mica romana i s\u00edlex (possiblement neol\u00edtic), i tamb\u00e9 en trobaren, posteriorment, la <strong>Dra. Margarida Genera<\/strong> i l\u2019equip de la <strong>Dra. N\u00faria Rafel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Sembla completament l\u00f2gic, \u00e9s clar, que en un indret d\u2019acc\u00e9s a un recurs tan vital com l\u2019aigua, en un espai m\u00e9s aviat pla i que encara ara s\u2019usa per al conreu, s\u2019haguessin establert els romans. Continuant per aquest cam\u00ed durant uns 500 m m\u00e9s s\u2019arriba a l\u2019\u00e0rea de la font i els rentadors.<\/p>\n<p>Es troba a uns 10 minuts de dist\u00e0ncia. Acc\u00e9s f\u00e0cil.<\/p>\n<h3>A peu<\/h3>\n<p>Sortint des del poble en direcci\u00f3 a La Figuera, seguint el cam\u00ed indicat com El Calvari, a l\u2019esquerra, abans d\u2019arribar al cementiri. En arribar a un trencall, seguint el cartell indicatiu a l\u2019\u00c0rea de la font fins a trobar l\u2019antic cam\u00ed empedrat i, seguidament, els rentadors.<\/p>\n<p>Es troba a uns 20 minuts de dist\u00e0ncia.
