Durant segles, ja des del 5.000 aC, el <strong>plom<\/strong> ha estat un element clau per als humans. \u00c9s abundant, es fon a temperatures relativament baixes, s\u2019utilitza en la creaci\u00f3 d\u2019eines i armes, en vidres i esmalts, com a material cosm\u00e8tic, com a moneda, en la construcci\u00f3 i de mil i una maneres m\u00e9s. Aquesta versatilitat el fa realment apreciat fins ben entrat el segle XX i resulta que al territori del Priorat aquest mineral es troba en diversos indrets, entre ells: El Molar.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div><div id=\"cronologia\" class=\"et_pb_module et_d4_element et_pb_toggle et_pb_toggle_0 cronologia et_pb_toggle_item et_pb_section_video_on_hover  et_pb_toggle_close\">\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\">Continue reading<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content clearfix\"><p>Malgrat que la relaci\u00f3 entre les mines i el poble del Molar presenta una llarga hist\u00f2ria, no ser\u00e0 fins a <strong>mitjans del segle XIX<\/strong> en qu\u00e8 es planteja una <strong>explotaci\u00f3 de la galena (mineral de plom)<\/strong> del territori. En aquest moment s\u2019obriran diverses mines al Molar, per\u00f2 \u00fanicament la <strong>Mina Lussa<\/strong> (tamb\u00e9 coneguda com mina Loussa, la Uni\u00f3 o la Linda Mariquita) s\u2019establir\u00e0 com una explotaci\u00f3 altament rendible.<\/p>\n<p>La transformaci\u00f3 d\u2019una petita explotaci\u00f3 de caire local a una ind\u00fastria de pes es dur\u00e0 a terme a mans de la societat alemanya Reinish-Nassanische Bergwerks und H\u00fcssen Actien Gessellschaft de Stolberg. Com ens podem imaginar, durant l\u2019\u00e8poca en qu\u00e8 la mina va ser usada amb altres finalitats, dins del territori republic\u00e0, durant la Guerra Civil Espanyola, aquesta societat alemanya va \u201cabandonar\u201d la mina i no va retornar. I ja no es recuperar\u00e0 l\u2019explotaci\u00f3 de la mina fins l\u2019any 1963, quan l\u2019empresa Traminera SA es dedicar\u00e0 a recuperar tot el mineral de plom que s\u2019havia llen\u00e7at amb l\u2019esc\u00f2ria o mena, \u00e9s l\u2019\u00faltim episodi en la vida de la mina que cessar\u00e0 tota activitat a partir de 1974.<br \/>Durant aquests anys i de la m\u00e0 de la Mina Lussa, el poble del Molar va viure tota una s\u00e8rie d\u2019innovacions de caire social, cultural, constructiu, etc. Totes les coses tenen una cara bona i una de dolenta i la mina, malgrat els perills que suposava treballar-hi i l\u2019explotaci\u00f3 que patien els treballadors, resultava una font de riquesa enmig d\u2019una comarca -El Priorat- amb una agricultura molt empobrida. La mina portava bons sous, instal\u00b7lacions modernes (com aigua corrent, lavabos, electricitat...). Una situaci\u00f3 que va resultar negativa en l\u2019economia es va poder<br \/>transformar en quelcom positiu en altres aspectes, els edificis de la mina (especialment l\u2019edifici d\u2019administraci\u00f3) es van ocupar per a usos socials i col\u00b7lectius.<\/p>\n<p>En aquest edifici d\u2019administraci\u00f3, actualment convertit en Centre d\u2019interpretaci\u00f3, <strong>es van ubicar les aules de l\u2019escola, durant el curs 1936-37<\/strong>. These schools in El Molar (we believe we are talking about schools as this is a time when boys and girls studied in separate spaces) were integrated into the network of schools in the <strong>Price<\/strong> - Consell de l\u2019Escola Nova Unificada- i van viure una modernitzaci\u00f3 mai vista fins el moment.<\/p>\n<p>Per\u00f2 tot aix\u00f2 va canviar, a <strong>mitjan del mes de setembre del 1938<\/strong> la Mina Lussa ja no era una escola curulla d\u2019infants, s\u2019havia convertit en un hospital. La proximitat de la l\u00ednia de la <strong>Batalla de l\u2019Ebre<\/strong>, la posici\u00f3 del Molar en una via de moviment de tropes i retirada de ferits i la modernitat de les instal\u00b7lacions portaran a la decisi\u00f3 de convertir l\u2019edifici en un <strong>hospital M-2<\/strong> (hospital de segona l\u00ednia de front, que atenia els ferits menys urgents).<\/p>\n<p>Malgrat la proximitat entre el Molar i el front de l\u2019Ebre, els ferits podien tardar fins a deu hores a arribar a l\u2019hospital. En aquest espai es trobaven, per\u00f2, amb 2 o 3 equips m\u00e8dics que els atenien i que s\u2019anaven rellevant. Nom\u00e9s tenim informaci\u00f3 completa sobre un equip de professionals, dirigit pel <strong>capit\u00e0 cirurgi\u00e0 Miquel Gras Artero<\/strong> (de nom\u00e9s 27 anys).<\/p>\n<p>Durant els dos mesos en qu\u00e8 la Mina Lussa va ser hospital de guerra la majoria de ferits que van ser atesos pertanyien al<strong> XV Cos d\u2019Ex\u00e8rcit<\/strong>, evacuats del front per M\u00f3ra d\u2019Ebre, Garcia i Flix, per\u00f2 tamb\u00e9 es van atendre civils del territori.<\/p>\n<p>Avui dia, el<strong> Centre d\u2019interpretaci\u00f3 de la Mina Lussa<\/strong> no nom\u00e9s recorda aquestes viv\u00e8ncies i usos de l\u2019espai, primer com a escola i despr\u00e9s com a hospital, sin\u00f3 que tamb\u00e9 <strong>guarda materials escolars de l\u2019\u00e8poca, que pertanyen als antics alumnes del poble del Molar<\/strong>, i una magn\u00edfica <strong>col\u00b7lecci\u00f3 d\u2019estris i productes m\u00e8dics, cedits per Jordi Jara<\/strong> (cirurgi\u00e0 de l\u2019Hospital Sant Joan de Reus), que il\u00b7lustren totes les maneres de fer i els aven\u00e7os en la medicina durant el per\u00edode de la Guerra Civil. Tamb\u00e9 forma part de la col\u00b7lecci\u00f3 de materials m\u00e8dics exposats <strong>un aparell de transfusi\u00f3 de sang<\/strong> que pertanyia a <strong>Ramon Mauri Samada<\/strong>, el transfusionista de l\u2019equip m\u00e8dic de l\u2019hospital, que es va acabar casant amb una xicota del Molar.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div><div class=\"et_d4_element et_pb_column_1_2 et_pb_column et_pb_column_11  et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode et-last-child et_block_column\">\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"et_pb_module et_d4_element et_pb_heading et_pb_heading_11 et_pb_bg_layout_\">\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"et_pb_heading_container\"><h2 class=\"et_pb_module_heading\">Les altres mines del Molar<\/h2><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div><div class=\"et_pb_module et_d4_element et_pb_text et_pb_text_6  et_pb_text_align_left et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><p>El terme del Molar \u00e9s ric en minerals i aix\u00f2 va dur, ja des de finals del segle XIX fins a finals del segle XX, a una explotaci\u00f3 a nivell industrial d\u2019aquestes riqueses, especialment la galena (mineral de plom).<\/p>\n<p>Actualment, aquestes ind\u00fastries que es van anar establint, des de petites exportacions de caire familiar a ind\u00fastries de pes, es troben totes tancades i en estat ru\u00efn\u00f3s (quasi en la totalitat).<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div><div id=\"cronologia\" class=\"et_pb_module et_d4_element et_pb_toggle et_pb_toggle_2 cronologia et_pb_toggle_item et_pb_section_video_on_hover  et_pb_toggle_close\">\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\">Do you want to know more?<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content clearfix\"><p>La llista d\u2019aquestes antigues mines \u00e9s llarga i il\u00b7lustra el pes que, durant uns anys, va arribar a tenir aquesta ind\u00fastria al Priorat, en un pl\u00e0nol que data de 1920 podem arribar a llegir el nom d\u2019un centenar de mines\/concessions mineres!<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Mina Raimunda<\/strong> (s XX) amb un pou mestre -Sant Joaquim- de m\u00e9s de 200 m i uns 7 nivells de galeries, es connectava amb la Mina Jalapa a trav\u00e9s del primer nivell de galeries, de quasi 1 km. Malgrat l\u2019estat d\u2019abandonament, encara es poden veure les estructures d\u2019acc\u00e9s al pou de la mina, magatzems, oficines i les instal\u00b7lacions d\u2019extracci\u00f3 de l\u2019aigua (que van estar en funcionament fins anys m\u00e9s tard de la parada en l\u2019extracci\u00f3 de mineral).<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Mina Minerologia<\/strong> (s XX), que encara es trobava en explotaci\u00f3 a la d\u00e8cada de 1990, t\u00e9 una gran extensi\u00f3 d\u2019edificis encara dempeus. El pas del temps i els espolis no perdonen, el castellet va desapar\u00e8ixer l\u2019any 2013 i els altres edificis (i els objectes que contenen) es van deteriorant de manera inexorable. Segons la documentaci\u00f3 de la pr\u00f2pia mina, l\u2019any 1992 s\u2019autoritza la paralitzaci\u00f3 temporal de l\u2019activitat minera i \u00e9s el moment en qu\u00e8, finalment, deixa de funcionar.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Mina Ventura<\/strong> (s XX) conserva, \u00fanicament, part dels edificis en ru\u00efnes, envoltats de les escombreres de la mina. Malgrat que el pou principal tenia una escala de caragol, per a accedir a les galeries, avui dia \u00e9s quasi inexistent.<br \/>No totes les mines del Molar explotaven la galena, la <strong>Mina Serrana<\/strong> era una mina dedicada a l\u2019extracci\u00f3 de mangan\u00e8s (element qu\u00edmic, es troba a la taula peri\u00f2dica com a Mg \u2013 nombre at\u00f2mic 25), en forma de manganita i pirolusita, entre d\u2019altres. Aquesta mina t\u00e9 dos noms ja que la part superior de l\u2019explotaci\u00f3 es coneixia com Mina (La) Serrana, mentre que la inferior, m\u00e9s propera al Riu Siurana, rebia el nom de <strong>Mina de Mangan\u00e8s<\/strong>. Actualment, una part del celler Clos Berenguer est\u00e0 constru\u00efda sobre la mina, fins a tal punt que s\u2019aprofita un dels antics accessos per a la bodega.<\/p>\n<p>I m\u00e9s enll\u00e0 de la mineria de caire industrial, al terme del Molar existien petites explotacions de minerals amb diversos usos com les explotacions de <strong>Sab\u00f3 de Sastre<\/strong>, unes argiles de tonalitat verdosa, formades per una combinaci\u00f3 de calcita, guix, caolinita i saponita. Aquest material, com indica el nom, l\u2019usaven els sastres per a marcar els patrons de tall a la roba. O, tamb\u00e9, la pedra calc\u00e0ria i sorrenca, de coloraci\u00f3 rogenca, amb el seu \u00fas com a <strong>pedra d\u2019esmolar<\/strong>, que es troba repartida per tot el terme, usada en els edificis i que \u00e9s l\u2019element que dona nom al poble del Molar.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div><div class=\"et_pb_module et_d4_element et_pb_image aquestes mines es trobar\u00e0 una gran varietat de minerals, en diverses quantitats, dels quals encara se\u2019n poden descobrir fragments entre les muntanyes d\u2019esc\u00f2ries de rebuig dels treballs miners. D\u2019entre tots aquests materials ens pot cridar l\u2019atenci\u00f3:<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>galena<\/strong>, qu\u00edmicament \u00e9s sulfur de plom, for\u00e7a pesant, d\u2019una tonalitat plata-fosc i molt brillant a la llum del sol. Pot arribar a tenir un petit contingut de plata. A l\u2019antiguitat s\u2019havia usat com a maquillatge o en l\u2019elaboraci\u00f3 d\u2019esmalts i, fins fa pocs anys, s\u2019utilitzava el plom refinat en pintures, per a fabricar canonades i tubs (en les instal\u00b7lacions d\u2019aigua corrent de pobles i ciutats) i per a folrar cables. Se\u2019l troba, sovint, associat a la malaquita i a la cuprita (de to roig fosc). Antigament es molia per a produir pigments per\u00f2 presenta una problem\u00e0tica, amb el temps es transforma en malaquita i muta a un to verd. Avui en dia s\u2019utilitza com a mineral ornamental.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>baritina<\/strong>, sulfat de bari, \u00e9s un mineral molt com\u00fa, amb tons que varien de l\u2019incolor al blanc, groc, marr\u00f3 o blav\u00f3s. S\u2019utilitza en la producci\u00f3 d\u2019aigua oxigenada, en pigments blancs o en alguns papers fotogr\u00e0fics \u2013 papers baritats (FC)-.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>pirolusita<\/strong>, di\u00f2xid de mangan\u00e9s, es pot veure en forma de taques negres amb ramificacions sobre les pedres. A primera vista pot semblar un liquen i \u00e9s amb lupa o microscopi quan es pot apreciar la seva forma de cristalls. Des de l\u2019antiguitat ja era usat per a decolorar el vidre, avui s\u2019utilitza en la fabricaci\u00f3 de clor i com a colorant en pintures, tints de roba i cer\u00e0mica.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>malaquita<\/strong>, mineral de coure d\u2019una tonalitat verda intensa. A l\u2019antiguitat s\u2019usava com a colorant (per a pintura o, fins i tot, maquillatges), actualment s\u2019usa com a pedra semi-preciosa.
